Gauley Artillery

Gauley Artillery, also known as Captain Stephen Adams’ Co. Virginia Light Artillery. This company enlisted June 22, 1861, and was captured at Fort Donelson, Tennessee, February 16, 1862. After its exchange, the company was reorganized, August 24, 1862, and was assigned September 1, 1863, as Co. A, 30th Battalion Virginia Infantry. See also 30th Battalion Virginia Sharpshooters.
